Central Oregon Great Giveaway

Just finished up my 3rd year doing the Central Oregon Great Giveaway! Whew! I'm glad it's over. This gal, Camille, and I head it up every year and I love this girl. She is so much fun to work with. She and I have a lot in common I've decided too. So it's a little sad after it's all over because we spend like 3 days straight with each other sorting, folding clothes by sizes, and arranging all the "goods" in the gym and trying on "fun" finds like orange socks and ugly sweaters, well I leave most of that to them. We served about 1000 people, the stake estimated, in both Prineville and Redmond Wards. When we opened the doors at 7 a.m. we had about 20-30 people waiting outside. It is so much fun and I enjoy it but I feel kind of like I do after college finals....I've run on little sleep for days on end, totally exhausted, excited it's over, a little sad it's over, yet relieved it is yet over for yet another year.....My sister in law came down too and I put her to work! That was fun being with her and we worked hard together.
---
So Saturday night the Hubby made me tacos(because there was no way I was cooking). Sunday he made me homemade biscuits and homemade zuchinni bread. Oh how I love having a husband who will cook......ah. And yes, I am totally spoiled and I love it.
---
Grace is really walking more and more now. The kids were running away with something she wanted today and so figuring out it was faster to chase them walking, she stood up and totally screaming at them she started crying towards them, step, step, step, step, fall, (more crying) then back up to walk more. It's tough being the baby of the family. I will try to post something of her walking if I can get it.
---
The kids and I saw two hot air balloons this morning. They were so close we could hear them burning the propane. They thought that was pretty neat and I guess I did too.....

Daddy went to Meetings at 6:30 this morning, so we had cereal for breakfast.

Camping on the McKenzie River

We fashioned a pacifier string out of twine. (somebody loves watermelon, btw)

The look of utter boredom....."please get me outta here!" It's tuff when you're at the stage of not walking yet, so crawling all over the dirt wasn't really an option.

happier times....she gives us "the smile" hoping maybe we'll get her out of the crib.......notice the spoon made a good toy.
