Twinkle Toes just turned 8. She had a birthday party with friends. They got to play laser tag and play at the park. She got her own "real" camera which she was very excited to get. More pictures to follow of next weekend's baptism. This weekend she and I went to the Ladd Marsh Bird-A-Thon. She has been begging me to take her to look at birds. I of course know nothing about birds and honestly they all kind of blend together for me. But we went out and discovered miles and miles of beautiful marshland and saw ducks, geese, stilts, cranes, black birds, and even a great horned owl. It was beautiful out there so maybe she has hooked me too. She is a such a smart little girl. I am amazed she comes up with this stuff all on her own. She also recently gave away her first set of scriptures to a friend. She wanted to share some of the Gospel with her. Super proud of her and the little person she is.
A bit on Firefly. The picture above where her eyes were as big as saucers? We were at laser tag and everything glowed in the dark. She just kept staring at everything. She is growing a lot. She seems to be our fattest baby so far. Every time I look at her she seems huge to me but then when I see her next to other babies she is just this tiny little petite thing that seems so small again. She likes to eat. I temporarily took her back off solid food though. Alisha, we are finally trying the probiotics for the constipation. I think it might be working. We will see in a few more weeks. It has been a real problem for her. We went for a few weeks with no episodes but then we had another awful episode and so now we are trying the probiotics. I do believe they are a cure all for just about everything....I remember giving them to Grace after chemo.....
I've always been pretty rigid with the kids and babies but for some reason not with Firefly. So far I break all the rules with her. She sleeps in the bed with me anytime she wants. She is spoiled rotten. She knows she only has to wimper and I will come get her and bring her beside me. She loves it! I have a sling and she just wants to be "slung" around my hip constantly. She is happy as long as she is attached to me at the hip. I feel like an African woman or attachment parent or the cover of time magazine....just kidding.
