{2010 Jan 23}

So this weekend was Mommy's weekend.......I got to go to Super Saturday at the gym and work out for like 2 hours, try 20 minutes of every single class they offer, whew!, I was tired! The hubby made waffles for breakfast and then we all went out for a bike ride to the canyon to the enjoy the sunny skies and (relatively) warm weather. The kids had a blast. Sweet Boy LOVES his new bike from Nana. He can't get enough of it. It must be a boy thing because Twinkle Toes got a new bike too, but she doesn't treasure it the way Sweet Boy does. We can barely pull him off of it and he likes to go......FAST! This week we found out Twinkle Toes was the 2nd runner up to represent her class in the school spelling bee. So while she is just learning to write, she has to spell too! Her spelling though has taken the fast track in the last week or so but she still spelled "ocean" today "owchin."

So I'm trying to play the market this year, yeah stocks and bonds. Ugh. Could this market make me cry anymore than it already has? It's only the first month of the year. Everybody go buy something Apple, cause if I lose any more money my husband will kill me :)

Grace's blood pressures have taken a real turn for the better all of a sudden. They were running a little high but the last few weeks they have been absolutely perfect. I think maybe she was outgrowing her medicine and now maybe her body has adjusted to the current dosing again. I am hoping she is at ineffective dose now so I am crossing my fingers that in a week when we go back up to Portland maybe we'll get her completely off the meds.

More often than not Grace's favorite place to be now is up on the table. Every time I turn around she is up there. Either she is eating crayons, finishing off some leftovers, or using markers to write all of herself. I call her the finisher, because no matter what is around she finds it and finishes it off. Yesterday she got into the oatmeal the kids left in their bowls and her face and hands were covered in oatmeal. She was finishing it off for them, covered in it. She is so unlike Twinkle Toes in the eating arena, this kid likes to eat........

Our little Costco adventure......

So today in honor of my birthday tomorrow, the Hubbie graciously stayed home and foregoed his first love, fishing. So we all went to Bend today to go to Costco and do some shopping. Well....we got our shopping done and were headed back to the van when the Hubby realizes that he locked the keys in the van. Yep, they were sitting right on the center console, actually both sets of keys- his and mine. Anyhoo, so here we sit with a cart full of groceries including frozen chicken and nowhere to go. Then Grace did us all a favor and she peed all over the Hubby(just at the wrong time). Well, I did what any good wife would do. I said, honey I"ll take the two oldest kids to Old Navy and you can figure this one out! So we went over to Old Navy to hit the clearance sale there for some school clothes for Twinkle Toes. Luckily, it ended up not being too much of a big deal because our insurance covers lockouts. So an hour later we're back in the parking lot. I see the tow truck pull away and yay, our van doors were open! Then we took the kids to the park and wore them out.

Sweet Boy's Birthday....He's 4 now!
