Mind your Own Beez Wax......

We finally got in and "worked" our hive.  Our friend Brett came over and went through our hive with us.  We were afraid they were getting ready to swarm because a big group of them started hanging out outside the bee boxes.  Anyways, after going through all the frames he informed us of some important things:  It doesn't look like they are getting ready to swarm BUT we do have a serious overcrowding issue so we added another set of frames, we have an AMAZING queen and a very healthy hive, Brett was impressed, we started out with 10,000 bees, now we have somewhere between 70-80,000, they are fruitful!, we will probably get some honey at the end of the season this year, we need to work our hive more often, Brett sort of took the hit on that one, he got stung a few times, thanks Brett!~  We did smoke them as we worked em.  It's just amazing that you can pick them up and for the most part they just let you do it!
